The U.S. EPA's Research Vessel, Mudpuppy Launched in the Ottawa River for Sampling

The 32-foot research vessel was lowered by crane into the Ottawa River.  The ship will spend 3 weeks collecting sediment along the river from the riverbed.  The mud will be tested for contaminant levels.
