Sediment Remediation

Great Lakes Sediment Remediation
Status at End of 2006

Goal: Cleanup contaminated sediments.

Status: 4.5 Million cubic yards remediated since 1997.

Trends: Increasing volume of sediments remediated are helping recovery of Areas of Concern.

Issues: Additional funding and multi-agency coordination needed to continue cleanups.
